Outdoor Adventures
In addition to equestrian pleasures, there is so much to do in and around Tudor Farm, whether you prefer premier dining and entertainment to rustic hideaways and natural springs. Here are a few highlights…
Rainbow River State Park (18 miles)
When swimmers take their first dip in the sapphire-blue waters of Rainbow Springs, they become characters in a story that stretches back over 10,000 years, when humans first visited this place.
Ornamental gardens, built waterfalls and sloping hills are visible reminders of the springs’ more recent past, when the land was home to a mining operation and a privately owned tourist attraction.
Take a walk through lush, mossy hammocks and then cool off in the springs — it’s a time-honored tradition.
Silver Springs State Park (12 miles)
Explore one of America’s largest and best loved springs from the park’s famous glass bottom boats and see an underwater world.
The main spring is surrounded by serene gardens and historic structures reminiscent of the days when Silver Springs was a major destination for Northerners arriving by steamship.
The park is still a favorite destination and the home of the annual Springsfest celebrating protection and restoration of all Florida springs and waterways.
Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge- (39 miles)
Located along Central Florida’s & Nature Coast” Crystal River is one of the few places where you can swim with manatees. The springs flow at a constant 72 degrees, making the waters attractive to all sorts of swimmers in the winter.
Three Sisters Springs Center, Crystal River (37 miles)
In-water recreation at Three Sisters Springs is accessible by launching a vessel from any of the public boat ramps or kayak launches on Kings Bay and navigating to the spring-run for Three Sisters. Public kayak launches can be found at:
Hunter Springs Park, 104 NE 1st Ave, Crystal River
The Canyon Zipline and Adventure Park (5.8 Miles)
8045 NW Gainesville Rd, Ocala, FL 34475
it The Cliffs that make The Canyons the most sensational adventure park in Florida? Or maybe it’s the Zips at 155 feet high and 1,150 feet long. Or maybe it’s the kayaking on spring fed lakes? Or maybe it’s the mountain-like elevation changes on horseback, or soaking up the breathtaking scenery and wine on our historical tasting tours….or maybe it’s the fact that none of this should exist in Florida, but it does, and it’s ONLY HERE, at THE CANYONS ZIP LINE & ADVENTURE PARK!
Devil’s Den State Park (21 miles)
Bought in 1993 by our current owners, this natural wonder has been transformed from a simple scuba diving site to a world class tourist attraction. Visit one of North America's most prehistoric places, Devil's Den Spring!
This underground spring inside a dry cave has been home to many extinct animal fossils dating back to the Pleistocene Age, which are on display at The University of Florida's Museum of Natural History.
Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens (21 miles)
